Re: SeriousCrunchers Attempting Re-Entry

Those plants mean a lot to you, and you to them, I think

I have a ?balcony? - well, dictionary says balcony.
I bought a good deal of the stuff in this condo from the heirs of the owner who died.
You don't do that. Too, too controversial. An estate of a deceased person! Scary!
They hire "scavenger" people who clear the place.
But my subconscious decided it would be easier on me to begin with.
My subconscious has proven right.
Music, books, furniture, kitchenware - even her brand new elevation bed
- and the plastic furniture and pots on the balcony, I have.
She and I would have liked each other I can tell from her books and music.
She died too, too young at 72 from ovarian cancer.
One large pot on the balcony has a completely dead juniper in it.
Have to have that removed somehow and replaced by something else.
On the top of my list for about month or so.
My upstairs neighbor - just returned from 4 days in Rome - nudges me ever so gently.
Made progress. Put a plastic bag near the balcony door for the soil.
Ready to go any time. And the weather finally supports the project.

Re: SeriousCrunchers Attempting Re-Entry

Pick something really pretty to put in its place. I suspect the cancer indirectly claimed the juniper without its "mom" there to take care of it.

Sounds like you got a good deal!

With an understatement favored on the North Sea coast of my country
by the men-of-few-words
conveying their emotions in an inward way:
That's not entirely bad ...

Re: SeriousCrunchers Attempting Re-Entry

Bad stuff missed so far. Unfortunately, so did most of the rain and we REALLY need it.

Glad they were - don't need ANOTHER new roof. But wanted more rain.

Been to the garden center and bought more pots. Off to find more plants for those pots.
