I'm with you brother ...load up PV Jail ....I've been helping GP get the credit she deserves, as you know. When the 2010 Holiday Trek is decided, I'll add my account for me and GP's account as a combined effort under her name.

I'm enjoying watching the numbers change after all those years chugging at the bottom. Know it won't be forever, but it's fun while it lasts.

GP; looks like Base Camp has a victim for Holiday Trek 2010. I'll add both of our accounts and send you the forum address...afterwards ...who knows...basically the Desktops are on my account and the Lappies are on your account, but the lappies change weekly...I'll keep you active!!! After the Trek I may put 100% back @ you ...or hit Docking with a vengeance...just don't know yet

All is well GP; I may move Media Center back to you just to balance out..that should give us 2.5K/day each (I know if I go ALL IN and tweak the machines, I can do 6K/day with machines active and machines waiting pretty easily)

Whoa! That's some throttle you've got!
Shipping notice arrived all right and tight. Looks like it'll arrive after the docs are thru tuning me up and playing in the lab. Pretty much given up on using the dually in the living room. Too loud and the wireless dongle is too unreliable for watching video on line. So the shiney + docking is going to be IT for all purposes. I'll look at other options once I see how the electric bill runs after the extended freeze temps they're forecasting starting tomorrow night to run the rest of the week. Not looking forward to turning the thermostat to colder as it is. Sigh... |

My arms are too short to reach "Full Throttle"..we'll see what we can do....
----------------------------------------GP; using 'Shiney' for everything may be questionable....if I remember right it has a gig and a half of RAM...1 Gig under the keyboard which is a little tricky to get too...and 512 under the bottom of the case, which is an easy change ....swapping that 512 for a 2 gig stick of SODIMM will make DRAMATIC improvements; unfortunately I don't have any 2 gig sticks or I would be using them....hhhmmm probably $50 at your favorite 'puter shop, and an easy install so don't let them get your $$ for that ...3 minutes max!!!! If you go that way and need help, just give a yell! |

You forget what an improvement it is for someone who only recently went faster than half a gig. <snicker>
I'll tinker and see. Got to take a pill and lie down. Surgeon says take things easy for a month, keep swallow the iron pellets, er pills, and see her in 6 months. I'll probably have a better idea what I can and can't do after I've tinkered a little this end. Step one is getting rid of that dratted, "You may be the victim of counterfeit software" nonsense... Then we'll put the pedal to the metal and see. |
