After a power surge created havoc here; All machines back online ...though I had to back door a couple of them...but at least they are Crunching, and results should continue to trickle in ....Power supplies for 4 Lappies, 1500 watt UPS, 4 port KVM, and my favorite keyboard got fried, but I can replace them! Headed for the parts store shortly (Credit Card in hand??.....CHECK)...I can't believe a UPS got it's controller board fried, and the batteries look like balloons, I don't even want to know how much power came in here!!

I thought power surge/fries were a summer thing. Ouch!

My electric utility company sent 12,470 volts through my house last summer. The UPSes did their job but were fried in the process. I got a complete upgrade on all TVs and all other electronics paid for by the utility. The upgrade to HD made it worth it.

I really think the UPS saved everything, the KVM was plugged into the wall and when it went it took the keyboard with it, but didn't arc and video cards  |
