Is there any way to change from "next page" to "last page" in the forums? Some of the posts are very long and hitting next page 4 or 5 times to get to the last post is getting long in tooth.

If you start in the forum index of threads, on right side there is the last posters name, posting date and a little icon. That jumps you to the last page, not the last post (is that a pun?)

On a similar topic.... I notice that some of the posts in the chat room are over 100 pages and the forum doesn't seem to recognise anything over 99, so shows any subsequent pages as page 1... this makes it difficult to navigate back to the previous page.

99 pages times a personal forum profile setting of 50 post per page is 2950. Not many go beyond and find participation.
----------------------------------------No, nothing will get fixed unless critical, until the forum software upgrade will be done... and still have no indication when :O| Added: I saw page 564 in the longest thread and were able to select a lower page listed numerically at top of page... this was when not logged in.

if the 'last page' button doesn't work for you, just select next once and then look at the address bar. The url will end with something like =100. See how many posts there are and change 100 to that number (or a few less).
