Re: smilesmile Join "MyOnlineTeam" Today - Chapter 33 smilesmile

You know how hot a Quad and two video card makes my tiny dorm room?.....

Yep, You know how hot 32 cores and 6 cards makes my office in July? laughing biggrin

So 6.6.0 is the way to go? I just want it working, don't have time to mess around with this.

I don't know if it is the way to go but it is the last release I installed. It works and I know it runs 4+1. If you install it and it still runs 3+1 then it is either a problem on your end or is due to running 2 cards on the same machine. I've not run two cards so I have no experience with that.

In light of the fact that I would potentially be running an oced quad with two oced graphics cards during the summer, I have to get realistic. Once my CPU/GPU temps begin to rise, I will begin to back off their overclocks. GPU crunching might be totally off for the summer, and my CPU will likely be at stock speed. On the bright side, during winter I can really "run what I brung" (sic) and use my computers to heat my apartment (like they do now)! By the way, my 260GTX Core 216 should be here fairly soon.

What happened to that 9800 GTX?...

6.6.0 works. :) 4 cores. 2 GPUs.
I think I'm going to have an issue with Quad heat.. I need a better CPU cooler.

Re: smilesmile Join "MyOnlineTeam" Today - Chapter 33 smilesmile

I'm going to get a PS3 when Final Fantasy XIII comes out. biggrin

Not till Q2, 2010 crying
Final Fantasy is probably the ONLY game I've ever really enjoyed and got into. Any other RPGs that you can recommend that are like it?

According to this Amazon is taking pre-orders for a release of 12/1/2009.

That is not true. It will not be released until 2010 earliest. Japan is getting their release this year, meaning US won't get it for a while..

Will do when I have time DM. You know how hot a Quad and two video card makes my tiny dorm room?.....

I only wish sad

Good!! smile 6.4.x was terrible and 6.5.x was not much better. 6.6.0 worked well so I stopped there and quit beta testing. The major bug I see is it has problems saving some settings. For example if you go to tasks and sort by % complete it works but does not save them on exit. But it crunches good and handles the work buffer well. That was a problem in 6.4.x too.

Glad it worked out. cowboy

If I had just thrown the original one in the wood stove, none of this would ever have happened. I'd never recommend the 9800GTX as a crunchin' machine. biggrin

With all those cores heating the place you still have a wood stove? LOL
