Re: smilesmile Join "MyOnlineTeam" Today - Chapter 33 smilesmile

My kids just talked me out of putting my Play Station 3 (used as a blu-ray player) into crunching. I think they were more worried that they couldn't play games when they visit than the ability of it to stand up to 24/7 100% processing -- lol.

Aw that is a shame

If you bought an aftermarket warranty for it, then why not run it full-bore 24/7 till smoke pours out of it? That was my theory with my oced 8800GT with 100+ mhz improvement on clock speed and 100 mhz on memory. But then again, my 8800GT massively failed when the coolant fan destroyed itself. Now I keep it cool with a 120mm fan that pushes 130 cubic feet of air per minute. ROFL!

Nope -- didn't buy one. sad

As I said, I didn't buy mine for gaming. I would have a lot of difficulty playing because of the partial paralysis in my hands (aside from also being an old fart - lol). I did buy a second game controller for my sons to use when they come over though.

I am really finding that the use of my PC's as media servers may end up being the major way I use it, although I really bought it for blu-ray. At prersent, I do not have blu-ray on any of my PC's even if there is a utility out there that would rip them to a hard drive.

Not till Q2, 2010 crying
Final Fantasy is probably the ONLY game I've ever really enjoyed and got into. Any other RPGs that you can recommend that are like it?

Only other game I really like is Kingdom Hearts. smile
Not a turn based RPG though.

^ Can someone help me figure out why only 3 cores are being used? Also, I have checked my settings, and it is set to use 100% of all CPU 100% of the time.
