How about % complete feedback?

Could we see what % complete each project is? Sure there would be some rough estimating that's fine. But frankly I'd rather know that progress than a proprietary points system which is difficult to figure out how many points is "good."

Re: How about % complete feedback?

reedcom, please have a look at the graphs Sekerob pulls together Graphs

Basically though, it's;
CEP = 10.50%
DDDT = 57.50%
FAAH = 53.18%
HCC = 20.71%
HPF2 = 48.21%
NRW = 62.31%

Re: How about % complete feedback?

problem arrives, when the project is expanded with more DATA...then the completion goes down over night! it happened with HPF1...and it will happen again!

Re: How about % complete feedback?

Well I think most people will understand that data can be added and make a project longer, but it would still give us a good idea of how much longer a project will be running.

Re: How about % complete feedback?

Instead of a % complete feedback (or in addition to if possible), WCG could give us a rough estimate of the time to completion of a project. Like recently talking about DDT, Didactylos Posted:

Our most recent estimate is that the project has work until 2013.

(for reference: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=24343)

And although this was clarified as a very rough estimate that:

will change

I still find it interesting to see about the timeline that projects will take. Even if they are rough estimates, they work better than trying to gauge the %s because we have little idea about how big a project really is.

The graphs answer all your questions. No need to reinvent the wheel.
