Good Morning!
Thin clouds, the air has turned humid and there is a gentle breeze with our 10 C. Tonight is the eve of Liberation for us Danes. On May 4th, 1945, Field Marshall Montgomery could declare Denmark free, and I intend to attend a celebration of Freedom at Sankt Peder's Chapel where we have a memorial for the very unconventional Major Anders Lassen who hails from this region and joined the British Special Forces and fell at Lake Comacchio, Italy, on April 9, 1945, 5 years to the date of Denmark's occupation by Germany. Morning! Very grey out there and very damp! But very still - not a breath of wind. (Remind me, it is May we are in, is it not?). Oh well, if I am not used to British weather by now, I never will be! At least we don't get bored! Hope you all have a good day!

I was at a Civic reception at the Core Thursday evening, the Freeom of the Town of Corby bestowed to my old Regiment!, I was asked by a councillor what I thought of politicians? I replied that they should all be in uniform, he enquired "what service" I replied "the prison service as inmates" there was a deathly hush for a few seconds and then laughter and applause........ I read a book once that listed the things that disqualified you from being a politician. Criminal record, insanity, etc but they also had one that said "Wanting to be one!" Obviously power crazy was a disqualification. |

Good Morning!
- I just made it - your noon is creeping up on me  The sun keeps shining, we have some wind to carry neat white clouds across the sky. However, the temperature is only 11.5 C, so I'll need to dress warmly for today's walk. For those interested, I have posted pictures from the event last night at Denmark's Liberation Day |
