Orf to jolly church this pm..........yes you got it right!, 'CHURCH', bin cordially invited to attend the Licensing and Installation of the new Reverend Priest in Charge by the Bishop of Peterborough and Archdeacon of Northampton.
I was volunteered as I was considered sort of religious?, actually what really 'append was I stood still and the jolly rotters all took one step back!! I fell for the oldest trick in military history
Truth is I feel really 'onered at the invitation, as Chairman of our local branch of The Royal British legion I work closely with church and civil dig's, our branch has a very strong welfare team helping local servicemen that need assistance and we work hand in hand with the local authority.
I'm proud to say that our branch raised over £15000.00 for the Poppy appeal, in 2011, and it's still coming in!.

Oh dear I'm ranting again ......

Light overcast - can you say "veiled sun" in English? - calm and 10C
- wishing you all a pleasant Sunday.

Champagne no less, chilled at that! there was orange juice as an alternative.

A wonderful service, 2.5hrs long, formal but also entertaing, the Reverend became very emotional at one point in the service but managed to compose himself as the congregation spontaneously applauded him.
The Choir and Organist were superb, as were certain members of the congregation I hasten to add
