Good morning all,
as the good Lord is watering the garden for me today, I can stay indoors and maybe get some ironing done, dog looks fed up though! |

I have just received the sad news that my wifes Brother died this am, 66yrs old, he had been suffering with cancer of the lung and tumors in the brain.
May he now rest in peace. Please keep crunching folk.......... Old Sage |

A day of two halves; warm and pleasant this morning and back to rain this afternoon. The garden continues to grow wild.

Morning all,
I put the rubbish bins out yesterday, they didn't come, so I cursed them all day. Today they came, I had forgotten it was a bank holiday week! (Retired you see, WE OLD UNS DONT DO BANK HOLIDAYS!) |

Morning all, I put the rubbish bins out yesterday, they didn't come, so I cursed them all day. Today they came, I had forgotten it was a bank holiday week! (Retired you see, WE OLD UNS DONT DO BANK HOLIDAYS!) Some of us old uns don't do banks  Back from my am visit to Kettering, a lovely old Northamptonshire Town surrounded by beautiful parks and countryside, the old market square has been renovated and now looks like a modern Roman Forum, the lovely Church of St. Peter and St. Paul sits comfortably behind looking down on the square. Just off the square are 'Old Northamptonshire' stone built shops, hotels and eating places, I stopped for a coffee in an Italian cafe, Mangiamo, that serves Greek food  Well worth a visit!. There is a big bright light in the sky this afternoon, and it is shining it's light on all the garden and the cars! All the trees have their leaves now and there are bronze/brown leaves as well as green. It all looks lovely! What is more, there is no precipitation today (strange that, it has rained here for the last couple of weeks!!). Oh my, perhaps Spring is turning into Summer at last? Whatever it is, I much prefer it to all the wet we have had for weeks and weeks!

Sunny here too after a cloudy morning although not quite as warm as one might expect. I just hope it continues for a bit so I can get the outside in some sort of order.
