Meccano set No
----------------------------------------Mecano Magazine yes , it contains hints on simple things to build with Mecano, some articles on model railways and on the back cover the Latest Dinky toys on the shelf also a Mecano screw driver and the little cranked spanner . The bicycle shop I worked in when I left school sold Mecano, housed in a 10 drawer cabinet nuts and bolts ,right angle brackets, wheels & Pullys green strips red base plates . In the shop window was a 5 foot Mecano model Eiffel tower with two lifts one going up & Tother going down all day .I often wonder what happend to it. There was a penny in the slot that activated a train that ran around the shop window for a couple of mins . |

Well it is still raining - hasn't stopped all day; and from the look of it, it will be the same menu tomorrow! Poor birds have hardly recovered from the snow, and now they are having to shelter from the rain. Keeps them quiet though!
