Re: THE EDWARDIANS Chatter

Evening all

The early rain was followed by pretty pleasant weather. I seemed to have finally caught my wife's cold of this week so felt a bit fragile and copped out ot the monthly 'Village' gardening morning.

Forgot about the boat race until it was just about over so missed the suprise action of Cambridge beating the odds on favourites.
Funny how one's always supported one of these teams without any liklihood of ever going to one or other of their universities. Mother and I wee always light blue and my Father and sister, dark without any chance of actually seeing the race or knowing what the actual colours looked like.

Since then, I've spent a few nights in Cambridge colleges but during the summer vacation when colleges hire themselves out for conferences and the like. As luck would have it, i didn't once make it to Oxford except for one brief walk round the middle. I was round the bypass more times than I like to remember driving backwards and forwards from Liverpool and Windsor.

Re: THE EDWARDIANS Chatter

Morning! No rain at present, but looks pretty damp out there! Being taken out to lunch today by my grandchildren, who are 'home alone' this week! sad Parents have deserted them and 'gorn' to Cornwall for a week with the dog'. wink
