The local Morrisons seems to have the Cheshire police contract....from about 0830 every day there are at least 4 or 5 traffic type cars pulling up, they come out 2 by 2 from each car, loaded wiv automatics on their hips and head upstairs to the Staff canteen......

Morrisons get PC Protect eh?
----------------------------------------that's all it is ??? it s well known that a hidden danger in our communities could be in the food chain Public spirited PC's are willing to risk all to protect our well being ...... Check out Hospitals in the early hours Patrol cars are often "helping out" Sad to say Often they are really needed in particular at weekends So we can allow this sort of attendance Also in my experience Power-station /dockside gate houses the Boys in Blue are quite Keen to protect all aspects in our area, A warm cuppa while taking statements is always a help in combating Crimes. Body armour is not affected by Tea or Biccies >>>>>>>>>> pretty sad dull day rather misty just about 36 f .... ---------------------------------------- [Edit 2 times, last edit by densnaps at Feb 21, 2010 2:27:26 PM] |

Wonder whats happening in Belgium, someone out there is very quiet! I wouldn't know as I wasn't here evening all, we had a great trip to New York and Boston too bad I will need feet replacements now (they have good subways, Bostons is simply excellent but then you don't see much...so there was walking walking and more walking) it's amazing how well they deal with snow there Merle, really... it snowed when we arrived and on wednesday but even while it was snowing everything was being kept open for cars AND pedestrians! as for the train,... that was MY train the accident happened a few stops after I would have gotten off and I was safely on the other side of the ocean but still it feels very weird ...one of H's friends was in the first carriage but luckily he didn't suffer anything apart from a cracked vertebra...and from seeing a lot of horrible sights of course back to catching up |

Has there ever been a 24 hour war? it will only last that long because of the queues at mcdonalds and starbucks I must say that, when I was over there, I was pretty amazed at the obsession they have over there of speeding up people queueing in lines...a lot of shouting, motioning, pointing and pulling at the people quietly standing in line and there is really zero effect on the efficiency of the whole process...I guess it's a way of creating jobs but.... don't you brits with your tradition of queuing up in an orderly fashion ever feel mortally insulted when this breakaway bunch (this puppy has learnt more than she ever wanted to know about tea parties and the like in the last week) tells you how to stand in line? ![]() |

Johns trip sounds great (understatement)
----------------------------------------Kenya where the Coffee comes from , & judging from my supermarket greengrocery shelves most of the products also are grown there, flying in in a huge cloud of carbon emissions [ /quote] true, noticing the sticker "made in Kenya" made me give up a great kind of beans for salads...they can be grown over here just fine but no one bothers...principles suck (I also found this out by missing a promotion on an MP3 player because my conscience wouldn't let me buy anything at radioshack since they've associated themselves with that horrible armstrong guy) I should definitely resolve to ditch some principles when the next new year rolls around (and I just missed the chinese one for that fne )edited because I seem to have forgotten how to quote...I blame jetlag [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Feb 21, 2010 6:08:24 PM] |
