Did I mention my new kitchen? I am sure I did!!
Well, the place has been full of men (but all busy on their own particular skills) which don't include me, apart from a great deal of teasing! Today it is 'plumber' day which means no water, no flushing toilets, etc. etc. And doors and windows remain open which means that by the time they leave at dusk, I am usually resembling a frozen, starving, and worse of all completely disorientated shadow of my normal self! I am sure it will be lovely when it is finished, but we are already into week two! I am sick to death of microwave meals - all I can say is that thank goodness for the large fridge/freezer standing in the middle of the lounge! It offended me at the beginning but now it has become a friend 'cos I just keep opening to see what there is to nibble!! Diet, what diet?? ![]() |

Hotels offer up human bed-warmers
International hotel chain Holiday Inn is offering a trial human bed-warming service at three hotels in Britain this month. If requested, a willing staff member at two of the chain's London hotels and one in the northern English city of Manchester will dress in an all-in-one fleece sleeper suit before slipping between the sheets. What a thing ![]() |

Cold and damp here so I feel for you Merle. I dash out the door to clear the rubbish as quick as I can trying not to have a door open for more than a minute. |

We are down to one lonely man this morning - left to finish up all on his ownio - water coming out of the taps (no only ONE very posh, very tall tap)! Next problem is choosing new tiles - aaahhhh - got to get it right! My one hope is that I will be pleased that I embarked on this at the end of it all!
Tell you what, it will be such a relief to get all the contents of the previous kitchen (currently taking up all the floor space of two bedrooms) back into the new cupboards. Time for a clear out too - do I really need 10 Tupperware boxes? I think not - can't remember the last time I went on a picnic! Here endeth today's moan!! ![]() |
