Re: No begging letters please

Lewis and Jensen on the front row in Monza grand prix.
Not sure if they obtain a bonus from the team if this occurs .
Maybe anew bigger watch to strap on after the race ???
The gossip mill is in full swing as to whether Lewis is about to walk across pit lane to Ross Brawn and Mercedes this it seems is down to if Schumi wants to retire & as he holds the cards close to his chest the rumors will continue.
The other talking point is the safety issue raised by the crash at the start at Spa last week
The thinking is that some sort of enclosure be fitted, forward roll cage Or aircraft type plexi glass cockpit to protect the drivers heads. Masa's accident last year a week after Henry Surtees was killed by being hit at speed by stray car parts prompted action to be set in motion .Its denoted open cockpit open wheel one of the part causes of last weeks event and similar in other races was the tangling of the two cars wheels launching the car into the air
Flying cars have a lot of energy and it might not be possible to completely protect the driver .
Witness Alex Zinardi who was crashed into in a German champ car race a few years back the car was cut in half and he lost both legs.
This week you may have seen him in the paralimpics winning gold in the Handcycle event at Brands Hatch a fantastic recovery . I dont know the answer the cars have become much safer over the years going from drivers sitting high up and visible to where now all we can see is the top of their helmets . I think perhaps the answer might be construct a protective cockpit surround made from the drivers wallets this of course would ensure they drove with more care it being stuffed with their own tax free £50.00 notes

this picture of a young Jacky Icxx about 50 years ago at Brands hatch GP I think it was last week he was presenting trophies at Spa

Re: No begging letters please

Good Afternoon!
This is a beautiful late summer day in Buttercupland.

For an undetermined period of time I'll be absent from these Forums.
I need a break.
I'm battling a depression and I want to spend much, much less time on the computer.
I hope to be back in a good mood spending a small amount of time on the computer.

Greetings all

Popping here to speak to friends takes a few minutes only. Just get rid of some of the unnecessary surfing and you'll feel much better.

Re: No begging letters please

Morning everypeeps......

After a very warm sunny day when I cut grass and hedges
filled my green bin working up an appetite for the Sunday roast biggrin

Also watched the Gp at a civilized time the coming so called fly away venues test your keenness.
Singapore is not Tooooo bad
'cause I think its a night race there so translates to our normal morning practice and Qualifying time schedule When we get to Suzuka in Japan the Practice is two am India and Korea also test the enthusiastic TV watcher.. we shall see wink I hate missing the races and catching by accident the results on the News like yesterday the Beeb didn't show the race until five pm I am fortunately able to see it all Live on my cable .....
I only watch motor sport, two or four wheels and have done since I used to bike to race tracks in the 50's Biggen Hill and Brands Hatch being the nearest tarmac to me Lots of off road motorcycle events scrambles , grass-track and Trails.I couldn't ever get wound up about the football overkill footballers and cricketer's used to participate in both discipline's according to season. crying
