It seems that a former suggestion to consider WUs failing the same as valid from a crunching viewpoint has been implemented in CEP 6.28.

My first CEP WU under Linux has had an early completion after 6.40 hours while it should have run about 9 hours. I was anticipating an error or an invalid status after reporting but, no, it is marked Valid and was granted credits as such, same as its peer. Details follow:
