After deselecting HCC and DDDT and selecting CEP, I still get HCC-workunits. Even after several tries. Not known as a known issue.

'Was born under a lucky star. On Wednesday switched quad to HCC and got HCC buffer. On Thursday with announcement of 6.28 switched to CEP, got more CEP buffer. 'T must be I'm hooked, as always to the left half of the balancers. Keep trying.

That's the luck you deserve as a hardworking CA, Sek.
After trying over 27 hours now, I don't have that 'luck' and still getting the former selected HCC. I just want to test if CEP v6.28 gives a good result now on my Quad/Vista64bit combination. But in the CEP forum I've already seen, that there is less hope. Also with this version "The system cannot write to the specified device" error still occurs. Cheers |

Oh, just remembered. From a previous experiment had deleted the "home" profile to see if it would go back to default profile... which it did as I told it "school" was the one. Recreated "home" on Wednesday and attached that to the device with which the HCC/CEP switch was done.
----------------------------------------And now, time for pizza... Capri, the hottest there is to get... glass of Brachetto from the local produce. Any grape moved down here gets lots more body ... 13.5%, 1.60 per liter... cheaper than designer waters ;>) ttyl Oh, get the picture: ![]()

For this trial and error, you cannot write a manual with operating instructions.
----------------------------------------After deleting my 'work' profile for that device, I was not able to create it anymore. I had to delete all device profiles, even the custom Default, before the options to create separate device profiles appear again. At the end I was 'lucky' and get only CEP for that device, but 7-2-2009 16:04:05|World Community Grid|Message from server: No work is available for The Clean Energy Project ![]() Time for mac and cheese and send me a bottle of your local Brachetto to flush away the taste of this experiment. Still waiting for CEP work here for a couple of days. Looks like the supply just can't keep up right now.

I have probably only gotten 2 or 3 out of the last 50 or so jobs. The surprising thing is that mine are set to run at least 2 or 3 different projects. I guess it's all in the timing of the request for work. Hopefully the techs will notch up the flood gates just a little more in the near future to let CEP speed up since it was offline for a bit last month. Probably once all the known bugs get worked out they will move it back into the normal priority status and not low priority.

I have my single core systems exclusively on CEP and am crunching 3-6 WU per day for quite a few days now. Except for the one system that has peculiar intermittent problems crunching CEP, I have only had one Invalid in the last couple of weeks.
