Re: Linux CEP results

[Off Topic]Lenny should be released as stable within a week (or so), I'm waiting 'til then to upgrade. Etch got a security update for Boinc a few days ago, still 5.4.11-4+etch1, though.[/Off Topic]

Re: First impressions

I was looking in the wrong place. I had this discussion on IRC. Logs are my friend.

Anyway, the command is sar. It is dependant on the sysstat service. So, you need something like:

/etc/init.d/sysstat start
(wait for it to collect data)
sar -B 3 4

Very interesting, it seems I'm running 24K soft faults/sec whilst crunching 4 CEP units together on my quad.

[Off Topic again]True, but I wouldn't suprise that it will be cancelled again, typical Debian. sad
On the other hand they have already released some RC's so I think it's quite safe to upgrade. And of course the security updates will be available on Lenny too.[/Off Topic again]

Re: Linux CEP results

[Ott Topic]Keeping it off topic for just a little more, Debian 5.0 "Lenny" has now been released. I'm now running Boinc 6.2.14-3 on AMD64.[Off Topic]

[On Topic]I had one WU error out on me a few days ago:
<core_client_version>5.4.11</core_client_version>
<stderr_txt>
Calling gridPlatform.init()
Calling initGraphics()
INFO: No state to restore. Start from the beginning.
[ERROR] Failed to open either source or destination files while
copying wcgrestart.rst to ../../projects/
www.worldcommunitygrid.org/E000382_123A_002a1000d_0_3.
Error: 2
called boinc_finish

</stderr_txt>
This was after 11.5 hours out of a predicted runtime of 13 hours. Here's to hoping there won't be too many of these in the future.[/On Topic]
