Hello,
Is there any way to change resource share if I'm attached to more than one project (worldcommunitygrid and Docking@Home) ? Right now it is 50% for each project, but I'd prefer to chande that a bit, if possible. |

Ok, so I have set 100% in worldcommunitygrid preferences, in the link you gave me. I suppose it always been like that,because I never changed it.
But still, there is 50% to each project in the boinc manager. Cross project ID is the same...anything else I should check? The other project is Docking@Home. |

Hi cafeina,
----------------------------------------100 is the default at all projects which is not a percent! If you have 2 projects attached to a client both with 100 as default, the sum is 200, thus 100 equals 50% of the total time resource. If you want D@H to get for instance 20%, with them running 1 science-project and WCG 80%, running 6 science-projects, than changing the project weight value in the WCG device profile to 400 will result in 400/500 = 80% for WCG to appear in your BOINC client, after the next server communication. ciao

Thanks a lot for the explanation. Rilian's link was very helpful, but I needed the explanation about the numbers. I believed that 100 is the max.

Great, the maximum value is 1000 for project weight, so give WCG 900 and we are very happy with you

all project weights are added and each project gets weight / total_sum * 100 percents of time.
----------------------------------------if you set 100 for WCG and 100 for Docking, each will get 100/200*100%=50% if you set 1 for WCG and 1 for Docking, each will get 1/2*100%=50% if you set 100 for WCG and 100 for Docking and 100 for some other project, each will get 100/300*100%=33% etc  |
