I noticed that each page now has 10 submissions per page. Also each forum list has 10 topics per page. And the new post seems to be missing from the page that lists 10 topics.

Type all you can. The default for guests is 10. The default for signed in members is 20 and you can change that in increments up to 50 in the forum profile.
