Actually, I didn't thank him in my original(1st) post and did so only after he made a post right after mine detailing my need to thank him immediately. He after all, started the thread and created the signature, and had he taken the time in his original post to outline the forum protocol that states that anyone who uses the sig must thank him immediately upon posting or face a public berating…well, I probably wouldn’t have used it because it’s a pet peeve of mine to partake of “things that are done out of the goodness of one’s heart” that are in reality a vehicle of self-indulgent narcissism. But since I did eventually play the game and thank him, well, I guess I’m a sellout. My mistake regarding thread creation, you are correct. But I am a sellout and my clothes now smell NASCAR fresh but my Enron energy drink ran out before I got to drink it.
As you may have noticed while browsing our forums, most have a title of Member, Veteran², Veteran³, etc., ad infinitum/nauseam, member being the “lowest” in the pecking order. (save for a derogatory custom title given by an angry admin) While I don’t know the full story, or if there even is one, one such custom title given to a particularly vocal and abrasive poster involved simply removing the second M from “member” title resulting in “meber.” Possibly also a jab at gaming nerds demonstrated deficiency at spelling/typing. The word kinda stuck and now anyone with a title of “member” is referred to as a “meber” by the elder population. Since we(TW) are relatively new to WCG and since there is no one we like poking fun at more than ourselves, I chose this wonderful aberration of shame as a moniker to remind us that even in victory what a pack of losers we still are.  |

When you do pass us (unless your team is disbanded before then by the WCG Project Team because of the forum behavior of some members of your team), I will change my signature line, but we will be back in the top 5 shortly after that. As much as the "tribe" grates on my nerves... it is quotes like these from MOT that are even worse. One would assume that MOT team members are grown ups but judging from the deleted thread here and the repsonse from some folks, I find MOT just as immature some ways as the "tribe" The signal to noise ratio here has become increasingly burdensome by ALL parties involved. SO I will depart from the forums for a while and wait till cooler heads prevail. Rudi the Red in Lurk Mode |
