So do you MOT guys have a script that generates your signatures or are they each manually created? If they're created manually, it's gonna take you all quite a while to change them all from "Top 5 Team" to "Top 6 Team" when we pass you.

We manually input the text and then point to a team banner created by MOT team member Graham, the same person that created the banner for Team Tribalwar that you are using and then thanked him for so nicely. I celebrate the advances Team Tribalwar has been making in processing for the World Community Grid. When you do pass us (unless your team is disbanded before then by the WCG Project Team because of the forum behavior of some members of your team), I will change my signature line, but we will be back in the top 5 shortly after that. |

As if they really would disband our team over forum attitude...
And yes, MOT wont be out of the top5 for long, as theyll pass the current 4th place shortly after we pass them. |

Maybe someone should come up with a BCS-like formula (a "forumula"?) for ranking teams based on number of Members, Run Time, Points Generated, and Results Returned...
Cause it looks like right now IBM Corp has 3.2x as many members as MOT, but are only producing 1.1x as many points. TW has 3.6x as many members as MOT, and are producing 1.5x as many points... And all three of those teams are beating Slashdot in points/member (at least for 4/12/05). But none of them are even in the top 10 in points per hour of run time... |

the same person that created the banner for Team Tribalwar that you are using and then thanked him for so nicely. Actually, I didn't thank him in my original(1st) post and did so only after he made a post right after mine detailing my need to thank him immediately. He after all, started the thread and created the signature, and had he taken the time in his original post to outline the forum protocol that states that anyone who uses the sig must thank him immediately upon posting or face a public berating…well, I probably wouldn’t have used it because it’s a pet peeve of mine to partake of “things that are done out of the goodness of one’s heart” that are in reality a vehicle of self-indulgent narcissism. But since I did eventually play the game and thank him, well, I guess I’m a sellout. In fact, I’m gonna go on a sellout binge right now. I’m headin’ over to Wal-Mart to buy some NASCAR collectible Tide burnt rubber scented detergent, Enron Juice™ lemon flavoured energy drink, some Star Wars Episode III C-3PO oil bath residue flavoured Cheez-Its, and a Britney Spears Sings The Beatles cd with special guests Metallica, Green Day, nSync, and Burt Bacharach. I realize full well that you have to manually edit signatures and the post I made was simply a light-hearted jab in the spirit of Hairy4Paws original post to lighten things up a bit. |

Jenny Craig couldn't lighten things up around here.
