would be nice if there was a page in stats showing how many WUs are waiting to be sent or generated ...whichis what I asked for here and was told is was not a good idea! http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=22688#195396 newbies may be frightened with non-green status pictures? pathetic :) i personally do not care about the design of pages, i care only about the usability and availability of information. http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/stat/viewProjects.do 1 project is "Intermittent" but has no WUs (you will know if you will spend time and dig for it) 2 projects are "Active" but stopped (same, you must dig for info why it is "active" but you cant get work) this is "frightening", not the red or green line on server status just 5 cents |

There is....What must we do? see the read-only known issues, in the top or next to the top forum section, depending on whether there is a new partner that week.[ Once someone knows that that is how the forum is arranged, then they'll look there. When I first saw the forum name, I assumed it was dealing with WCG-wide issues, and expected that news about problems with a specific project would be in the focused forum (and perhaps stickied (and read only) until resolved). Thanks to this thread, I know better now - but other newbies will possibly have the same confusion. Joe |

There has been no work available for several days. While waiting for new work, I am currently crunching a project that is not part of WCG. Eventually, new work will become available. This project is expected to last two years.
To put this in perspective, the total number of results returned for each currently active project ranges from 11 to 79 million! CEP is the exception here which has more than 200K. |
