Hello all,
Today, on the 9th, I checked my Result Status and I saw that my Quad crunching at home has aborted about 30 work units with a majority of them being FAAH units. Could this be due to the server migration? The desktop I have with me at school did not falter at all as WCG migrated its servers and is still running with no problems. Since I can't check my Quad at home, can someone give me insight as to why the aborting of mass work units happened? |

It looks from reading around, no skill required, that work was canceled on instruction by the servers shortly before shutdown, at least several members posted about it. As it happened, I ran the buffer down to zero and loaded a bunch of fresh tasks just before and took the client off-line. Crunched all through the down time
.That move on the part of WCG probably minimized the amount of open batches that needed moving over their network, though I've not seen any word to confirm this. |

Ah I see. I looked at the thread title on this part of the forum. Nothing about aborted units caught my eye. Thanks. |
