How to download multiple tasks.

Does anyone know if I am able to download multiple tasks ?? With the up coming outage of up to 2 days, I would like to download 6 or 8 tasks so that my processors (I have 2 cores) will have workunits to work on while I am "offline". Is this possible ?? If so, how do I do it.
I tried marking my 2 current work units for WCG as SUSPENDED, hoping that BOINC client would request some more work units (I suspended the tasks, not WCG itself) however it didn't seem to request more work units.
Thanks

Open BOINC manager in Advanced View

At the top toolbar - by File /View /Tools /Activity/ Advanced - click Advanced

Go to Preferences

Under the Network Usage tab in the new box - you can set "additional work buffer", for example 3 days

Click "ok".

Wait a minute while BOINC will connect to servers, or just go to Projects tab, select WCG and click "Update"

PS: suspending tasks will not help, as they ARE in cache already

Re: How to download multiple tasks.

gl2845,
Follow rilian's advice, or you can do the same on the website in the profile you are using and then don't forget to force an "Update" of WCG from the Projects tab of BoincMgr.

And top of both ways to do it,
Make sure you have no suspended tasks in your list!
As long as there is any suspended task Boinc never asks for more work.

Cheers. Jean.

Re: How to download multiple tasks.

Thanks. Both our your advice helped. I now have multiple extra units of work ready for when we go offline.
Thanks for your help.
