I just signed up for some beta testing. Is this a normal message?
12/28/2008 4:31:11 PM|World Community Grid|Message from server: Beta Testing is not available for your type of computer. I'm assuming that means I've correctly configured a profile for Beta work there just doesn't happen to be any available right now? |

Good guess: you are recognized as a volunteer beta tester but there are no beta WUs distributed right now. And there might be none until the datacenter move is complete sometime around mid-January.

And there might be none until the datacenter move is complete sometime around mid-January. If there's no CEP linux beta until mid Jan, then CEP for linux is getting further and further away. ![]() |

If there's no CEP linux beta until mid Jan, then CEP for linux is getting further and further away. Wow! See how easy it is to take shots at the people who know what is going on, shots taken by people who have nothing to say. You have no right to criticize, even if you think you do, which you don't. It's just not about you. Just keep doing what you can for WCG in the projects that you can crunch. Obviously you have no idea of the work required to setup a new data centre with 80,000+ active users. |
