CPU time reset to zero every 10 to 15 minutes runtime

Hello,
it looks like "Clean Energy Projects" is not always working properly. On my Thinkpad two project startet to run almost at the same time. One is advancing the other does not show any progress in the graphic AND after about 15 minutes CPU time it resets to zero. I've terminated the task (E000035_977A_00045n00v_1). At that time the other task had already run for more than 3 hours!

Re: CPU time reset to zero every 10 to 15 minutes runtime

From personal experience, best is to have other projects different to CEP running in parallel, so I've got e.g. on quad CEP, HCC, HCC, FAAH running this moment and paused another CEP job until the current is finished. Makes CEP run quicker.

On your zero status with your Thinkpad. Those machines are special. Got any power-saving features running? Use Search and look for "Thinkpad". There are a number of past discussions covering that issue.

What BOINC version are you running? A few more reports have come in. Usually it's a system timekeeping issue, but currently we only get that report with CEP it seems. If on 5.10 or before suggest upgrading to WCG's 6.2.28 version. Get it from the My Grid page download link. Installing takes few minutes.

Re: CPU time reset to zero every 10 to 15 minutes runtime

Joweiss is correct. There are CEP workunits which no one after (6-7 instances) completes correctly. I have posted two examples in the forum. One was constantly resetting, as joweiss reported.

Is anyone looking into these problems?

If I can provide any additional information, please let me know what you'd like to see.

Can you provide links. See 1 with

Task E000013_925A_00022q00t_3 exited with a DLL initialization error.
