Hi all--
My HPF2 WU stopped at 2.901%. It says it's running, but the CPU time is not advancing, in fact, it now says "---" under the CPU Time column (and status is "running"). I tried exiting BOINC and restarting -- also tried suspending and restarting this task. Running XP with 1.5 Gig RAM and Pentium 4. This may have to do with my PC just completed its first BETA WU last night. Any ideas? |

clueless, but remember a very specific FAQ on the way to unfreeze these HPF2 jobs.
----------------------------------------Exiting BOINC manager may not have exited the service if you installed it as such, but no need to if you follow the FAQ step by step, rummages for the member is distress... and here it is: http://worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=16378 Now it's time for beer ;>)

I got it fixed. When I exited BOINC manager, the processes were still running for WCG, and I couldn't even get the task manager to kill them off. I tried rebooting normally, and my computer did not respond to that requeswt. I had to do a hard reboot. Every thing seems to be running normally, except that BOINC dumped the HPF WU, and got a new Rice WU.
