Re: CEP Badge: Who will be first in Bronze, Silver and Gold?

i am also in support of the next level of badge after the 90 day badge. yes i am only bronze on CEP right now and i am working up my rice and trying to get some beta...

it is amazing how much worth we put behind the badges (myself included)

Personaly I am happy for every gold badge i see someone else running... it means that they have crunched 90 days worth of that project... i am also happy when i see even 1 badge on 1 project .. it lets me see that that is where they are going or what they are working on.

i also would like to see a # of years total badge

Re: CEP Badge: Who will be first in Bronze, Silver and Gold?

...which is why I'm promoting platinum

While another badge will be an excellent addition, I feel the system needs to reach further. Simply adding Platinum will encourage badge hunting only to that level, meaning that we might have to wait again for yet another badge to be added to encourage another round of badge hunting.

If the powers that be decide to add Platinum or whatever, I hope that you also add badges for years. The crunchers dedicated to their favourite project, such as HCC or FA@H that are projects running for years, deserve badges that recognize their long-term commitment too.

I suggest all badges for 1 to 10 years. By then, the only users with 10 or more years across multiple projects are the super crunchers with dozens of machines and I believe they have little care for the colour of the badges.

Re: CEP Badge: Who will be first in Bronze, Silver and Gold?

yes would love to see 1 through 10 year badges ... but just cause a person has an army of computers dosnt mean he dosnt care about badges... sure i only have 4 computers right now and that dosnt add up to a squad tongue but if I get a project over 11 years i would like credit for that as well

yes if we just add platnium then we would have some people crunch only to that level... but in my opinion they are crunching and that makes me happy

Happy Crunching

You have 100% my support !!!

I support too.

I would like to suggest WCG implement Diamond for 2 or more years of crunching per project as the high level badge, after Platinum for 1 year of crunching ... or any other time arrangement that make sense

Could be badge pictures inserted in a Diamond... biggrin

confused Re: CEP Badge: Who will be first in Bronze, Silver and Gold?

I like this idea but if you got a 356 core processor you would get 1 year of processing time per day... the first thing that needs to be done is make the badge time not per cpu but per computer. ATM quad core computers are getting people their badges 4 times faster... not fair

Re: CEP Badge: Who will be first in Bronze, Silver and Gold?

I personally can see myself getting one when ALL my new games can use all of the 4 cores but at the moment they dont so my 6000+ works just fine...
