Gold.....these badges are a nice representation of time spent crunching. I'm not a badge hunter but a member of Team Canada & help the team on their POTM.
However, whenever they hold a potm on a project I'm not attached to, I run WCG on my "little farm" & am looking forward to the next one so that I can crunch WCG & get my gold badge for Rice. |

Feel free to have a POTM here 12 months of the year, thus a POTY ![]() |

Congratulations to one and all who've already got their gold badge in this project. After reading some of the massive machine configurations that are talked about on these threads, does make me very envious of some of the 'super crunchers' out there. I (and I suspect many, many others are also in the same boat), only have the 1 machine (okay - I've recently been allocated a new, duo-core, new laptop) crunching away in the background whilst I perform my day job.
----------------------------------------Thus, it's certainly an achievement for one and all (no matter if they were the first to get a 'gold' badge in any particular project, or the last). it all counts. Me, personally, after managing to get 3 golds in the currently active projects (I got my 'Human Proteome Folding' gold badge with over 1 year of processing, and thus, the reason for my other 2 bronze badges in the other completed projects), I'm slowly, day by day, getting nearer to my next gold (for 'Nutritious Rice for the World'). After that, I'll be concentrating on 'Help Conquer Cancer' (currently Bronze), before turning my attention for a gold in this project. So, it'll be quite some time before I'm celebrating... ![]() |

I'm at 88 days and 16 hours
Guess I'll have to wait until they fire the project back up to get the gold. |
