confused Re: CEP Badge: Who will be first in Bronze, Silver and Gold?

i vote for Hydrogen, Helium etc badges where element number should be equal to number of weeks spent on the project

Interesting idea but there are lots of people already past the end of the Periodic Table

Well, let's replace weeks with months, or award the badge by (weeks)*(atomic number), or use some logarithmic function

and for those 0.01% who already past the end of the table, there may be set badges like "top 10 (50, 100, etc) contributor of project_name"

Re: CEP Badge: Who will be first in Bronze, Silver and Gold?

Only took me about nine days of crunching with the three quads, then five more after that for the rest to clear. What I really need is a beta badge, only 4.5 days away.... SOme of those darn CEPs were 24+ hours each....

I try to give every project a years worth, but I mainly do cancer since its hit my family a couple of times.

Re: CEP Badge: Who will be first in Bronze, Silver and Gold?

It will be awhile for me crying

I don't have any windoze boxes tongue

Know what I did to speed up getting my Silver? I started running Windows clients on my Intel Macs using software that lets me run Windows at the same time as I run Mac OS X. It runs at about 85% efficiency as compared to how it runs under Boot Camp but it's better than losing functionality of Mac OS X and it lets me get CEP WUs done on a Mac! I know, it's not the best solution, but until they hurry up and get the long promised but not delivered Mac WUs out there, this is all that can be done... :)

Re: CEP Badge: Who will be first in Bronze, Silver and Gold?

YAY SILVER
Man the new quad core helps, my laptops would take forever to do one of the CEPs. Found another computer in the garage, a 2.8 ghz machine with 2 gigs RAM but it has so many fans sounds like a jet warming up... what the heck i'll put it in the study, with the new quad core set up...i want a dual quad motherboard next, anyone heard of quad quad core motherboards :) And NO hard feelings those who got their first! Gratz to all bronze, silver and gold badges! And I like the idea of year markers(badges whatever) I love solar power! CHEERS
