This is great.
I've been doing rice exclusively since I joined WCG. I was worrying about what I would do when this project started - I wanted to participate in this, but also wanted to see rice through to the end. Now I can do both! |

Is it me or are the Wu really long compared to the other projects?
My first WU indicate 42h, the average for the others are 10 hours. |

yes there are lots of projects out there to choose from and trying to find out what oneis best for you takes lots of time

Dont worry about the time. That is the first time that you are running this kind of WU so during the next days the time will be recalculated and probably will be reduced.

About the length of the workunits, the IBM and Harvard teams are deteminng the scaling of different setups and hopefully soon the WUs will be more uniform. Thanks for crunching!

The techs must be running at Roadrunner speed to get this project out so quickly after the beta testing. I still have three beta jobs in progress on a couple of my machines.
This is definitely a very well deserving project to bring to WCG. I am thankful to have the opportunity to help out on such a great project and look forward to helping this cause as much as I can (while helping out in the other projects, natually  )Will we see some new greenies threads in this forum?  |

You created a new user seemingly. You can change name in the My Grid > My profile and use your old/new account with credits already earned. Simply rename this Omega-3 or the other to ZZ Old Omega and than rename your A & G to Omega 3.
----------------------------------------Your BOINC device(s) would have to be detached and re-attached to WCG to be associated with whatever account you want them to crunch for! If you have not done that yet, you're in luck as that procedure looses all current work in progress.

This is confusing! I was hoping that the forum would automatically update my name change for every posting here. Before I made the change, I posted 3 messages. After the change, I noticed that my postings did not reflect the updated name change. That is why I posted two messages under those threads where my old name appears.
