BOINC is set to work always, but it works as long as I'm doing something on PC. When I stop using PC, BOINC works for about 1 minute (CPU 100%) and then CPU usage drops to idle (about 10%), it remains idle until I move mouse or something than goes back to 100% for another minute. How do i get it to work all the time? All of the options are set to work all the time
BOINC is latest version OS Windows Vista 64 Ultimate CPU AMD Athlon X2 BTW sorry for bad English :D |

So you want to run Always at full capacity?
----------------------------------------If so, simply visit the BOINC Manager > Advanced View (if in Simple) > Activity menu and set to "Run Always". Let us know if this does the trick ciao PS: Me bad inglese too ... does not matter ;>)

That's what we like to hear from problem reporters... the things they've tried so far.

Hmm I already disabled AMD cool&quiet in BIOS and I cant find anything important in Windows Power settings, all of those settings are 10 or more minutes untill standby. I cant remember anything else atm that could cause those pauses.

Possibly energy conservation features of your OS/Hardware setup. It's something getting more and more popular. Usually that should only make the CPU clock run slower, but it should still use 100 % of that slower CPU. With "run always" selected that does not leave much room for imagination... Let's wait for the message log. Cheers. Jean. |

Well, chubyzg - the option that controls suspending when you are *not* using your computer is only available online. Clear your local preferences - it is confusing having settings in two places. Instead, go to http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/ms/device/viewDevices.do and change your device profile preferences.
Berkeley really got preferences wrong. Not that they will admit it. |
