Has anyone tried version 6.2.28 with BoincView?

I noticed the new version and was thinking of upgrading. However I'm currently running 6.2.18 and it works well with BoincView. I've gotten spoiled with BV's flexibility and utility and would hate to lose it.

If anyone has tried it with this new version would care to comment, that would be great!

If Boinc Manager had the concurrent multi-computer functionality of BV it would be really nice. BV's additional data, mainly having benchmark results on the "hosts" tab as well as the extra information it provides on the "tasks" tab make monitoring and controlling multiple machines a snap.

Cheers!

It's a miracle it still works with BV given it's developer went for complete incommunicado since April 2007. The BOINC developers though took extra care that BV remained compatible, but for how long no one knows.

ciao

Thanks Sekerob!

It's nice to hear it's working with the new version. I'll enjoy it while I can.. wink

It will indeed be a sad day when it is no longer compatible. I guess it would have been nice if the Sebastian had released this to the PD. I've browsed the BV forum (odd indeed that the site is still up) and am aware of that history a bit. Maybe the Boinc developers will one day add some of the BV functionality and save the day for us multi-system users...
