do any wcg crunching units have a rare event?

i'm thinking if a cruncher comes up with a very special result (if any are possible, like the prime number thing), we could have a prize of a box of chocolates. smile

i don't know what kind of results these might be, just something out of the ordinary?

Somehow I think there is not any single result that identifies "The One", rather a composite of many results that give away a pointer. It's certainly not like looking for a prime.

yes, i don't mean the final answer, i mean just something 'significant', if there is such.

for example i think on the old UD crunching, some units came up with a record number of 'hits', or ligands or whatever.

I have a great suggestion for you. When you reach your next milestone, such as 1,000,000 points, you go out and buy yourself that box of chocolates and reward yourself for contributing to the improvement of the world.

Re: do any wcg crunching units have a rare event?

We recently announced the 200,000,000th result returned. If that doesn't count, what does?

Yes, and "The" Grid gets faster by the day. 251.7 Teraflops it performed at on Monday and meantime 220 million results validated.
