I installed the Agent on C: and it assumes that's the disk where it will allocate storage for the analysis. However, my space on C: is limited and the D: drive is where all the space is for data.
How do I get the agent to use D:? |

The hard way is described in this wiki [think there is an error v.v a particular file and its location (ca-bundle.crt):
----------------------------------------http://boincfaq.mundayweb.com/index.php?view=...d95b01af9fb3c1136ef06eabe The easy way is downloading the new 6.2.28 beta for Windows (see Beta forum for link) and run that installer. It offers an alternate location which you can amend. cheers [edit: beta version updated]

I recently purchased an Apple Time Capsule, which backs up any changed files every hour. I would like to exclude backing up the BIONC temporary files and disk usage associated with processing WCG and SETI projects. I've searched my directories without success, where are the BOINC files located? This is on an iMac running OS X 10.5.5.

Now MAC and file placement belong in my department of 100% unknowns. What I do know is that it's highly sand boxed.
----------------------------------------I suppose if you run any 6.2 installer it will tell you where it's putting the data directory. Some hints you may find in a few wiki pages: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/Tools_for_Mac_OS_X http://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/Uninstalling_BOINC

Thanks, I tried running the install again just now. It lets me select a drive, but no additional information seems to be provided. I'll keep looking.

What does it say in the client start up log? Standard there is a line for the data directory... and do look at the 2 wiki links above.

Thanks for the link to Berkeley wiki - I found the directory and successfully added "/Library/Application Support/BOINC Data" folder to my exclude from backup list! The only trick to locating this once I knew what to look for was I needed to start with the hard drive directory instead of the user directory.

Okay, I've updated the "uninstall" wiki to add the BOINC 6 location.
