hi,

Will the BONIC client support multiple time-segments per day in later version?

Thanks biggrin ,

Re: Multiple time-segments per day support?

Not per the enhancement list though someone did in past request it at the Berkeley developers forum.

Here's a said list that made it into the "request" list. Those that are scheduled to be implemented are noted with a version #, for instance 6.4

http://boinc.berkeley.edu/trac/query?status=n...t&order=id&desc=1

Now as per your other thread, if you post there what you like to achieve we can give it a thought. BOINC runs on my machine 24/7 as i never notice it running. It got a feature now to stop work when user specifiable programs are loaded. Wait for the official WCG 6.2.xx release or download the Beta to try (See beta forum).

Re: Multiple time-segments per day support?

Time preferences were implemented in such a slipshod manner that adding further options may get very messy.

The sad thing is, had the times been designed properly in the first place, specifying arbitrary time spans would be fairly simple.

Another missed opportunity.
