Just as the subject line reads...... Is WCG all volunteers or do some people get paid for doing whatever they do concerning WCG?

The staff are all full-time IBM employees. The project scientists are paid by their respective institutions.
Nobody is paid for participating in World Community Grid. |

Here is a recent article about Clemson University in SC. Their computer department is contributing 4 years of computer time each day: http://www.isgtw.org/?pid=1001404 Here is an announcement about a NSF grant to develop a project to run on the WCG " NYU, American Museum of Natural History receive $1.6 million NSF grant" : http://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2008-09/nyu-nam090308.php Your neighbor might be reassured if he reads them.
