Christine,

I pray the warmth of your shared love and memories wrap around you like a comforting blanket and comfort your spirit at this time.

My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Re: For Christine

Christine: Sorry to hear of your loss. My prayers go out for you.

I've watched you walk a tough road before. May the Lord take you by the hand and walk along side as you endure this most recent loss.

Lighthouse, my ever faithful beacon of hope, thank you so much. I thought I was coping all right and then I seem to have gone back to square one. Is this normal? this up and down the road of grieving? why am I so mixed up? I'm grieving so badly.. It seems he is yet to return from India and then I will wake up from this terrible dream and everything will be OK.

They tell me he died peacefully in his sleep - but people don't arrest peacefully or do they? I so hope he did not suffer pain, he was alone. I am sorry to be lamenting still, I meant to be brave but I am not at all..
When I lost my Mother and my Dad it was similar, but then I was so much younger then and it is so hard to let go..

Christine1, I'm so sorry to learn of your recent loss.

In good time, grieving also brings closure. Stand fast.

The stages we human go through regarding loss is:

Denial - You think its a dream, but never seem to wake.

Depression - The void hits you.

Anxiety - Mad that it has happened.

Fantasy - It could have been different.

Acceptance - You start to see a future once again.

The one thing you need to ask yourself is what would he want for you. Then remind yourself every time of the answer, as you pass from stage to stage. Knowing that there is solace every step of the way.

Just make sure that you keep your stress levels down to take into consideration the additional load this places on you. Trauma can be tricky, so give yourself extra room to heal
