guidelines for use of World Community Grid logo?

I recently joined this website, linkedin.com, and noticed two "groups" within the site that are for World Community Grid members. One bears the official logo, and the other doesn't. Are members allowed to use the logo in this manner? If not, then is the group bearing the official logo endorsed by IBM? I presume that the use of the logo in this manner is allowed but does not imply any IBM endorsement; if I am correct, then I might as well join both "groups."

I don't think either group is official. Can you provide links to them?

You may use the logo under the terms of the software licence agreement:
ON THE WORLD COMMUNITY GRID WEBSITE, YOU MAY CREATE A "WIDGET" INCLUDING THE WORLD COMMUNITY GRID LOGO, THAT CAN BE EMBEDDED IN YOUR WEB PAGE. IBM GRANTS YOU A NONEXCLUSIVE, WORLDWIDE, ROYALTY-FREE LICENSE TO USE THE "WIDGET" IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE TERMS OF THE AGREEMENTS, WHICH ARE INCORPORATED HEREIN BY REFERENCE. YOU AGREE THAT IBM CAN WITHDRAW THIS LICENSE AT ANY TIME.

In other words, you may use the logo to promote WCG, but IBM can revoke that permission if you use it in a way they don't approve of.

They are on http://linkedin.com but I think you have to be registered with them in order to see Groups. I don't know how they put the logo on one of the groups but I guess I can assume it's the widget?

Update: I moused over the name of the sponsor of the group, and got a message indicating that he is an IBM employee; I have no reason to doubt this information. I guess that is good enough.

If it's Nels, then that's the one you want.

Enjoy.
