Re: 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing

Better be careful when visiting MSNBC. An article discussing the Beijing Rain on opening warned for a rotating banner virus "SWF:CVE-2007-0071" (Avast again). Their forum discusses this critter: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=36564.0

ITV News reporter arrested in Beijing
Published: Wednesday, 13 August 2008, 12:46PM
Eight Free Tibet campaigners have been arrested during a protest at which a British journalist was also held.

ITV News reporter John Ray was released soon after the incident at the Chinese Ethnic Culture Park, near the National Stadium.

He was taken away by police as members of the campaign group handcuffed themselves to each other and bicycles

Mr Ray, who has been based in Beijing since 2006, is ITV News' first China correspondent.

ITN, which makes ITV News, said it would be making the "strongest possible" protest.

Re: 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing

Y'know... I don't care who wins what... as long as the correct person / team wins what they were supposed to win without bias or favoritism.

We all know that on any given day, anyone can triumph over anyone else. It's not (or shouldn't be) any particular outcome because it was "pre-decided".

I always cheer for all of the participants ... each and every one of them a winner!

Heck, I doubt they would let me with my fat ( ! ) on an airplane to even think about competing... unless it had something to do with eating! biggrin

I'm not saying anything is or is not this way already...
