Uninstall/Reinstall question

Somehow, I got a bad work unit on one of my machines. The percentage never goes up.

Anyway, the most drastic step I tried was to uninstall the agent, delete the WCG directory, and rejoin the machine under a different name.

This didn't fix the problem.

Any ideas? My other boxes are running just fine.

TIA

Re: Uninstall/Reinstall question

Brasstax --

It has been a few weeks since we have experienced problems due to "bad" work units. In those instances, the systems recovered by terminating the Rosetta task and restarting with the result that a new work unit was downloaded -- your uninstall/install of the software would have effectively accomplished this. What percentage is your agent showing? Does the text "Primary task is executing..." appear in the window or is there another message displayed? What version of windows are you running (and any service packs)? If you are running Windows XP with Service Pack 2, check the "Data Execution Prevention" setting as explained in the Known Issues forum at https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=1297.
