Stuart -- in the nearly 4 years since this all started, the community as a whole has so far contributed 194,907,530 results to the various projects. This has been done in about 112,838,400 seconds. That amounts to just under 2 results per second, day and night, seven days a week! Of those results, our team has been responsible for 910,191, or about 1 result every 2 minutes! Not too bad for a team of our size. Totally agree Dave but a bit of promotion doesn't do any harm :) "1. The member who returns the 200 millionth result will receive a World Community Grid t-shirt and a Thank You certificate. 2. If the member who returns the 200 millionth result is part of a team, the team captain of that team will also receive a World Community Grid t-shirt and a Thank You certificate for their assistance in rallying support. 3. The team captain of the team that wins “THE 200 MILLIONTH RESULT RACE” challenge will receive a World Community Grid t-shirt and a Thank You certificate for their assistance in rallying support. 4. The member name of the winners will be posted on this thread unless they wish to remain anonymous." *shifty eyes* How many more days until we finish? Someone want to do that math? It's too late in summer for me. I'm betting that Keith has his eye on this prize! Oh there's no question the team would enjoy the bragging rights on this! Yea, I signed us up for the challenge too as soon as I read about this. As for rallying support, not sure that's really needed with this team. Just look at how you've talked it up on your own.  |

...The mattock bounces off this hard red clay like it was concrete.... Sounds just like the red clay we have here. Allegedly, it's a kind of dirt. Yep, adobe brick without the straw. In the summer you can't drive a shovel in it and in the winter, when it is full of water, you can't pick up a shovel full of it. That's why us rednecks love the country so much. Red clay is the redneck version of diamonds, 'ceptin' harder.  |

The total eclipse of the sun from Hawaii. How about the running of the bulls in Tecate Mexico (only lasted a couple of years as too many drunk Americano’s got really busted up or dead). Hey Blizzie ... I have the black one from Rasputin Records in Berkely (is it still around?) ... shows a vinyl record as an ovum and little guitars with crooked tails swimming toward it. In case anyone is curious (like me), I just crunched some quick numbers and we're on track to come just shy of 73 million points this year. Given that compared to last year, we just might have reason to expect 2009 to be our first 100 million year?!?!?!? Nothing like stretching yourself!
