I'm back up and running.
---------------------------------------- Yesterday afternoon a huge Oak limb fell and cut my power and both my telephone cables. The cut power cable was scary !! PG&E had power back in about two hours but I did not get my DSL until a few minitues ago. Needless to say, I lost a day's crunching. Points will be down over the next few days. To make matters worse, I have some more serious chainsaw work to do (and it's HOT here) ... but also more firewood. @ Jonathan: Rob use to run GothamInc and is now with Serious Crunchers. He's down under in southern OZ. ![]() |

It is currently..
----------------------------------------96.6 °F / 35 °C Clear and I value my computer so off goes the crunching. It went 2 C past max temperatures. I need to drop my overclock or get better cooling, which ain't happening. Nothing like working on university classes and how they work in the summer heat. On another note. Anyone here use BoincView? http://boincview.amanheis.de/ Edit: Broke 100 F [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Jun 20, 2008 10:43:44 PM] |

I suspended activity on all of mine to bring the temps down. Will resume them when the sun goes down. ![]() |

Yep, works like a hotdamm. It's my lifeline to my remote machines since some don't have monitors connected to them. |

Hi all,
Hey, never noticed those widgets before, that's pretty cool. Went and stuck one on my home page. It shows MOT total runtime and has a link to the WCGs MOT info page. I've noticed that ya'll like to share ailments so I guess I'll throw mine in here too. I've made a website to tell and share info about Basal Cell skin cancer, which I've had three times on my nose. Last time they bloody took and cut half my nose off. Lucky for me they were able to rebuild it. the site is here: Basal Cell Carcinoma See the picture of me on the right side there, that's what I looked like after the docs got done the second time. Then in the picture gallery there's pictures of this last time and the surgery and healing proccess up to a year later. I'll warn you here, some of the pictures in the gallery are rather graphic, so be aware. The WCG widget is at the bottom of the home page, it's a perfect fit for that site, both in looks and in the purpose of the WCG and somehow I think it all ties together with my site. Hopefully some new people will learn about WCG. |

Yea we do that those add on widgets you can put on your site, blog, etc. Last time I checked they use iframe which makes it incompatible with Wordpress (or at least it had issues on my end). Moving on.. Getting your nose cut off. I'd be scared to death. Then rebuilding it? It's like coming back from ****. The word surgery scares me in general since I don't like needles or anything pointy. So hats off to you mate. I hope you recovered no problem? And pictures can wait until later.. Not feeling that great x.x I'm curious though. This cancer you say, only comes from lots exposure to the sun? Or may I ask how you caught it? edited for inappropriate language...cih [Edit 2 times, last edit by Former Member at Jun 21, 2008 11:05:24 AM] |

Hopefully some new people will learn about WCG. WRR -- I had a bout with Basal Cell Carcinoma several years back myself. Mine was located dead center on my upper lip. I was sent to a plastic surgeon to have it removed because of the location. Happily, the results were not disfiguring, but I was very surprised as to how much had to be removed. Glad to hear you are a survivor too!. Glad to see that you are calling attention to this cancer. It affects so many people and you don't see very much about it anywhere. Your surgeons did a really great job for you. [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Jun 21, 2008 4:22:03 AM] |
