They're gonna give me the electric chair! Yeah, went down to the VA today and talked with their mobility people. They decided to give me an electric wheelchair. I already have a rather large four wheeled scooter, but this will be more like a wheelchair, much more useable in and around my apartment. The one I am getting is like that in the link except mine will be blue. Glad to hear it Dave! Are you going to "Pimp Your Scooter?" I recommend new rims, new engine management software, an HID kit for the front lights, and maybe a rear sway bar to stiffen up the rear of the chassis. I was thinking more of something along these lines. Dave, after reading that first line, I'm GLAD you clarified things. I'd rather NOT see you get the electric chair! Electric wheelchairs are quite okay though.  BTW, it ain't properly pimped until you can pop wheelies in it!  There's a prof down here who drives a golf cart to work - top speed is 45 MPH. I suspect he could get your new chair popping 'em.  |

Been in hospital quite a while. Up and running again As Keith alluded, I've been down for a bit too as has been the case for Gerald (MARYSDUBY). Two hospital stays for a total of 2 1/2 weeks and nursing myself at home for the past 8 weeks. Just about over it now, knock on wood. Hope you are on the mend as well. Isn't aging just great? It's heating up.. Big time. Bad. Core 2 Duo is at 59, 56 C.  Graduation tomorrow. Crunch on. Congrats Blizzie! Post a pic of your graduation if you want. I might post my college graduation pic for contrast! Really good work though. I hope you have as much success in University as you did in high school. By the way Jonathan. I got the $10k scholarship.  WOW! Now THAT'S what I call a graduation present! Love the timing! Great news Blizzie! Congrats!!!! Thanks everyone. =) Grad was awesome. Pictures to come? Maybe. |

Aging isnt to bad if you feel good--some how i caught Mono and it was- at 65-very bad i am slowly getting over it. I am good for about a half day At least you're headed in the right direction. I'm going that way too. I just walked (with my walker) all the way from my apartment to a shaded area in front of my apartment and sat in the nice fresh air for a bit. First time I've done that in months! It really felt great. Unfortunately, it is clouding up and I came in to find that we are under a severe storm warning. Oh well, couldn't have stayed out too much longer as my nurse will be here in just over an hour. |
