What's the story behind the crunching dedication for everyone here? Just helping out. Thought it was a great use of unused PC resources. I have had 2 cancers and suffer from a genetic disorder that Muscular Distrophy Association has listed, but those are incidental to my participation. |

Hey everyone. I hope you can all do me a favor. I created an team with my friends for the AIDS Walk in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco. Information on that can be found here: http://www.aidswalk.net/sanfran/
Last year the AIDS Walk in San Francisco alone got 25000 walkers raising over $4.6 million dollars for organizations. I set a goal of $250 for myself (hoping to raise it higher)and a team goal of $2000 (as of now). I'm looking for donations to help benefit the cause of AIDS research, so if anyone would be so kind as to donate a few dollars, I would very much appreciate it. The link is below. The lowest you can donate by credit card on that site is $25. But if you want to do a dollar or so you can send money to my Paypal or send a check. Just let me know. My email is vincent@blizzie.com https://www.kintera.org/faf/donorReg/donorPle...B2CF8&supId=224802856 Thank you everyone. I hope this event will be successful. I'm putting in $100 for myself. 2 month worth of crunching bills. :) |

The credit for my being here goes to IBM. They notified me of the start of WCG. I came because of the technology and stayed because of the science. I have no personal stories of loss ... all my relatives seem to die of accidents or just wear out from old age. I'm trying to do the latter.
---------------------------------------- The air quality here now can be described as ^%$#%^ (I'll save Tedi the time of editing me ). I must admit though we are having an unusually rust-red sunset. Quite striking.Crunch on ... ![]() |

We are getting smoke from Dismal Swamp fires 60 miles to the South--really bad today--temp sin upper 90s--I am going to Maine Friday to work on a remodel job for a couple weeks.--I came here for Cancer research as my wife died from breast cancer--only 41 years old Great numbers today, Gerald. Pains me to see 2/3's of mine on vacation for the summer. So you have fires too? Was better here today. Looks like the wind will blow the rest out to sea over the next two days. But the haze has kept the temp's down ... back now to warmer. Enjoy Maine ... send me some cool air. Darn ... no milestones today. ![]() edited for inappropriate language...cih ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Jun 26, 2008 11:59:03 AM] |
