shock Ready to report!

I added some machines this weekend under my existing ID.  Everything was fine untile it came time to send the results back. I've got multiple result sets on several new machines which are not being sent back. I would note that my original machine (the slowest one of five) is sending it's results back as they are completed. All the systems in question are running windows.

Re: Ready to report!

"Ready to report" is not an error. How long have the work units been in this status? If you feel you have a problem, please go to the Messages tab, and copy the messages there.

Thank you.

shock Re: Ready to report!

There are now four results in the status of ready to report on the system whos messages appear below. Some are more than 24 hours old. None of the four new systems I added this weekend have sent any of the now ten result sets in. Note again the the system I have been using all along is sending result sets in as they complete. Below are the messages from a system with four result sets in the ready to report status.

Re: Ready to report!

The work will be reported next time the scheduler requests more work from the server.

Absolutely nothing to worry about.

Happy crunching!

Re: Ready to report!

Some words on the topic can be found in this FAQ. Unless there is no regular internet connection to those clients, rule 4 would have kicked in.

Nothing to worry about long as the machine is not going idle with "RtR"s still to be reported.

Re: Ready to report!

If you want to report immediately put the next line in your cc_config.xml in the options part:
<options>
<report_results_immediately>1</report_results_immediately>
</options>

The results will be reported within a few seconds after uploading.

Regards,

Crystal Pellet

Re: Ready to report!

That line was made for those that re-image their devices daily like colleges running deep freeze and who need to push their results out end of day before killing everything on the disk partition. This is NOT helping the Server scheduler loads and the places this is described state so, thus should not be used if there is no per se need !!!!!!!
