Members Representative on WCG Board ?

Does the WCG Board have a Members / Contributors / Consumer representative ?

With over 37,000 members internationally. issues such as CPU and heat management on member's contributed PCs have generetad lively debate in your forums.

A members representative - such as a expert from one of the larger PC users groups (e.g. Boston, London, Melbourne) - could ensure there is home contributor input to the Agent design / operation, and reduce the potential for litigation for equipment damage (e.g. due to overheating). Such groups could also provide beta testers.

Re: Members Representative on WCG Board ?

Hi YogiY --

You have made a very interesting proposition. While there is presently no "members representative" on the WCG Board, there are certainly some very qualified computer scientists in the mix of experts on it. You can see the list of board members at http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/about_us/advisory_board.html. As you can see from a review of the Board members, it is truly an international team of experts.

Regards,
