We apologize for the troubles - there was an issue with the backbone coming into the hosting center. The problem has been resolved.

A suggestion: Someone called the connection flaky and 9 hours is a long time, so would it have helped to put a brief message top side into the RSS feeds? Site down, but RSS would still have said in web browser "Services currently intermittent". Certainly those getting in would have seen it in the Recent Threads list. Hardly anyone managed to post thus it would have stayed page 1 for a long time.
