I am a first time user and completed my first task. I am running on Windows XP Professional and currently am connected via dialup. My upload attempts fail with the following error:

In the activity tab of the advanced boinc view, there is a line to suspend network activity. No problem.
----------------------------------------http error? Something's not right. I'm not sure about this error, since I used dialup for years on these projects. It is from something else. We may need some more messages. I wonder whether something farther down is more critical. Let it try a couple of more times since it was temporary. Somebody else earlier had something like that, but farther down it was complaining about peer certificates. That can be a proxy error. https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=19725#161621 Otherwise, for him, it could have been a linux/debian problem. The only project that doesn't work with dialup is African Climate, but that one is wrapping up. It checks the connection speed.
